Ethiopia Idido from People Possession brings a filter that surprises with its intense sweetness, tropical juiciness, and rich, creamy depth. The taste blends fresh pineapple and ripe mango, complemented by a distinctive note of chocolate fudge—rich, velvety, and perfectly sweet. The overall profile is lively, layered, and playfully transitions from fruity freshness to a dessert finish. Each sip feels like a little escape to the tropics and perfectly captures the People Possession philosophy: to seek out coffees that are not afraid to be eccentric and unforgettable.

The coffee comes from the iconic Yirgacheffe region, specifically from the Idido processing station located at an altitude of 1960–2092 m above sea level. This location is known for its rich biodiversity, ideal microclimate, and long tradition of growing specialty coffee. Farmers in the vicinity of the station mainly grow varieties from the JARC program, which are valued for their resistance and exceptional flavor potential. The Idido station has long been one of the most respected in the region—its emphasis on selection, purity, and careful drying makes each harvest a showcase of the best Yirgacheffe has to offer.

Dry (natural) processing is carried out here with maximum emphasis on controlled fermentation and slow, even drying. This gives the coffee a distinctive fruity sweetness, fullness, and a slightly "funky" character that suits natural Ethiopian coffees so well. The People Possession roastery selected this lot as part of its vision to present coffees with a "deviant" expression – bold, energetic, and outside the classic boundaries. Each batch is the result of precise sourcing, innovative drying processes, and roasting that allows the profile to shine to its fullest. Ethiopia Idido is the embodiment of what the roastery calls a "golden ticket to wowland" – a cup you will remember.

I was not a huge fan initially because it is quite boozy and one-dimensional and you should probably adjust something about brewing methods

The fruity notes are very well balanced with to chocolate fudge. I could drink this coffee the whole day and I would not get sick of it! One of my favorites for sure!
When we opened the can for the first time the aroma wasn’t very attractive, but everything was 100% perfect after we brewed our first coffee.
