Hacienda Cafetera La Pradera is a family-run organic farm where four generations of the Daza Bautista family have been involved in the production, processing, and export of high-quality coffee. In the 1970s, Héctor Daza began transforming the family farm into a coffee paradise. By planting various trees and fruit trees, he created a beautiful shade shelter for the different coffee varieties he planted. This was the beginning of a lifelong commitment to organic farming practices on the farm. In the 1980s, climatic conditions and low market prices led to a difficult period. During this time, Oscar Daza, the current generation at the helm of the company, decided to focus solely on high-quality, organic, and select coffee.
The coffee was processed using a natural anaerobic fermentation method. The cherries were carefully sorted and then sealed in airtight plastic tanks, where controlled fermentation took place. This process significantly enhances the natural sweetness and rich body of the coffee. After fermentation, the beans were sun-dried in whole fruit, which gave them their typical complexity and intense fruity notes. The result is a coffee that will delight anyone looking for exceptional quality, a unique flavor profile, and a story behind every bean.
