Close your eyes and imagine a cup that tastes like a walk through the Colombian mountains at dawn. The sun rises over the Nariña Valley and the air is filled with the scent of freshly blooming bushes and ripe fruit. This coffee from El Filo will surely draw you into this moment with its interesting flavor profile. Red berries, apricot juiciness, and a hint of black tea combine in the mouth, and thanks to the sweet aftertaste of brown sugar, everything falls into place.

El Filo is located in the heart of Alto de Naranjal, at an altitude of 2,050 meters above sea level. This family farm has five hectares, two of which are dedicated to coffee trees – exactly 6,000 trees of the Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia varieties. Producer Francisco Loaiza is a second-generation coffee grower who continues the tradition but with a clear vision for the future. His approach combines respect for the land with openness to innovation. When selecting fresh Colombian coffees, Sensei Coffee El Filo clearly stood out. It won an anonymous cupping competition thanks to its pleasant sweetness, delicate acidity, and balanced body. It is a coffee with character that reflects both the landscape and the work of its creator.

The beans are processed using the washed method, which is typical for this region and helps bring out clean and transparent flavor notes. Ripe cherries are hand-picked, fermented, and then dried on raised beds. The resulting cup offers a beautiful balance between sweetness and freshness. At the Sensei roastery, each lot is roasted according to its unique profile to ensure that the best of El Filo is preserved in every cup.
