Colombia FINCA COCONDO
Finca Cocondo is a meticulous farm where Nordbeans' very first coffee comes from. Luis Emilio Veléz grows coffee trees here with the utmost respect for the surrounding nature and a sensitive approach to the landscape, which is then naturally reflected in the purity of the resulting cup and in the strong, sustainable story of the entire farm. Colombian Cocondo is also processed using the natural method – the cherries are dried whole, including the pulp, which gives the beans a more pronounced sweetness and fuller character.
Panama HACIENDA LA ESMERALDA
Geisha from Hacienda La Esmeralda is one of the most legendary coffees in the world today, thanks to its exceptional terroir and the careful work of the Peterson family. The farm came to wider attention in 2004 when their Geisha won the Best of Panama competition, launching its global fame. Among connoisseurs, this coffee has a reputation as a real treasure, which they pass on around the world as something exceptional. This coffee is usually processed using the washed method, in which the pulp is removed from the coffee cherries immediately after harvesting and the beans are left to ferment only briefly to bring out the purity and elegance of the variety itself. It is this approach that best highlights the character of Panamanian Geisha and is responsible for its famous lightness and bright aroma.
