Two Words Coffee was founded in 2024 in the heart of Liverpool on the iconic Bold Street. It focuses on specialty coffee from farming projects that care about the soil, origin, and sustainability. Their goal is to roast in a way that brings out the natural sweetness, purity, and character of each coffee. Two Words Coffee establishes direct relationships with growers and fair trade cooperatives, supporting small farmers and ensuring transparency from origin to cup.

The story of the roastery began with the collaboration of three personalities from the Liverpool coffee scene—Tian Tso, Allison Whorton, and Tom Sumner. They are united by their passion for coffee, craftsmanship, and a friendship that began at the Ropes & Twines café. Each of them brought their own experience to the project – from café operations to roasting to brand design. The result is a roastery that brings new energy, integrity, and a desire to explore to Liverpool.

Roaster Allison Whorton roasts coffee four times a day, three times a week, on a small 1kg Bullet roaster – with a precision that reveals the full potential of each batch. Two Words' philosophy is simple: "We know our coffees are excellent – our job is just to let their flavor shine." Each bean is gently roasted by hand, emphasizing its natural sweetness, purity, and distinctive origin.

Today, Two Words Coffee is at the beginning of its journey – a small, ambitious roaster that connects the city with growers around the world. Its DNA combines British openness with respect for nature, the community, and the people behind the coffee.
