About Bell Lane

At Bell Lane Coffee, it's about more than just coffee—it's about people, communities, and the planet. 🌍☕

Bell Lane, an Irish roastery dedicated to roasting specialty coffee since 2012, builds its approach on strong relationships with coffee producers. They believe that behind every great cup of coffee are people whose work deserves respect and fair conditions. By establishing direct and long-term relationships with farmers, they ensure not only top-quality coffee but also a positive impact on local communities. Bell Lane emphasizes ethical sourcing and supporting sustainable practices, which is reflected not only in the exceptional taste of their coffee but also in its impact on the environment and society.

Bell Lane Coffee is proud to hold the B Corp certification, which confirms their commitment to transparent, sustainable, and ethical business practices. The certification was not just a goal but a journey to deeply reevaluate all processes, from supplier selection to daily operations. As a result, they minimize their environmental impact, support fair trade relationships, and actively contribute to the development of the communities from which they source their coffee. The B Corp certification is a symbol of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement for Bell Lane.

For Bell Lane Coffee, social projects are not just a formality. A great example is the "Sonrisas" ("Smiles") initiative, which emerged from a conversation with María René Morales from Volcafe Guatemala. When Bell Lane asked how they could help the local community, the answer was simple—"teeth." This led to a project focused on providing health and dental care for coffee farmers and their families. Bell Lane contributed €5,000, which was matched by Volcafe UK & Ireland. In 2023, over 3,800 people received the care they needed during a four-week campaign.

I liked this coffee. One of the lightest coffees, which is still suitable as an espresso. I'm waiting for the "Linux" edition... :) (ECM puristika; Eureka MIGNON XL)
