Behind this coffee is the Miro family , who grow it on the Finca Bonita Springs farm in the Boquete Valley – an area known for its tropical microclimate, clean water, and ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. The Caturra variety grows here at an altitude of 1,250 meters above sea level, and thanks to the careful approach of each generation, the beans acquire their distinctive character. This farm has soul, history, and a deep connection to the land. This Panama is not eccentric, but it still manages to surprise. It is elegant, balanced, and reveals another layer of flavors with each cup. Koun Coffee brings it to you thanks to direct cooperation and trust that goes back to the very origin of the coffee cherries.
The coffee was processed using the natural method, in which the cherries are dried whole, without prior washing. This process preserves more sugars and aromas in the skin and pulp, which is reflected in the sweet, full-bodied, and fruity profile. Drying takes place slowly, on raised beds, under the supervision of experienced workers who monitor the ideal conditions. The resulting cup is smooth, juicy, and perfectly clean. With a cupping score of 86 points, this coffee is proof that even simplicity can taste exceptional.
