The roastery Candycane has prepared a new delight for you: El Durazno, a true heavenly pleasure for your taste buds! This unique coffee, roasted for filter brewing, comes from the farm of Francisco Velasquez, located in the Intibucá region of Honduras. Immerse yourself in the aroma of freshly harvested cherries, sweet marzipan, and distinctive verbena notes. Dive into this captivating coffee symphony!
Francisco Velasquez began his farming journey in 2009 when he fulfilled his dream and bought his first hectares of land. Francisco decided to focus not only on producing high-quality coffee but also on sustainable farming that conserves nature and improves the living conditions of his family and farm workers. The coffee he grows belongs to the SHG (Strictly High Grown) category, which means it grows at higher altitudes where the conditions are ideal for developing its unique flavor. Thanks to this altitude, his coffee gains a delicate, refreshing acidity and a richer, more complex flavor profile that has won the hearts of coffee lovers worldwide.
The coffee is processed using the wash method (washed), which emphasizes the purity and delicacy of its flavor. After the harvest, which takes place from January to May, the cherries are carefully processed in water mills and sun-dried, ensuring the stability and quality of the resulting coffee. This method preserves tradition while also demonstrating the commitment of the farmers in Intibucá to achieve the highest quality and offer coffee lovers the best possible product.
