The farm from which this coffee comes is run by Thomas Ganamo and is located in the Bombe area , in the famous Sidamo region. The farm covers 6 hectares and Thomas took over from his father in 1991. He originally grew cereals and maize but decided to focus on coffee in 2005. Thirteen years later, he built his own processing mill to give him maximum control over the quality of his production. Thanks to his partnership with Lulo Coffee, his coffee is reaching specialty coffee lovers around the world.
This coffee is processed using the dry method ( natural), which enhances its sweetness and fruity notes. After harvesting, the whole coffee cherries are dried for approximately 16 days on raised African beds, where they are turned regularly and carefully sorted to ensure even drying and to remove defective fruit. This process allows the beans to retain maximum sweetness from their flesh, creating a wonderfully full flavour in the cup with notes of juicy fruit. Thomas Ganamo takes care in every step of the processing to ensure that the resulting coffee is perfectly balanced and pure.
