Ethiopia Limu Bloom is Jedno Kafe’s spring edition , offering a clean, delicate, and beautifully juicy profile on the filter—typical of washed coffees from the Limu region . In the cup, you’ll find a combination of orange, apricot, and red apple, complemented by a delicate caramel sweetness and a slightly buttery character reminiscent of vanilla cookies. The acidity is citrusy and malic, pleasantly fresh and balanced; the body is juicy, and the overall profile comes across as harmonious, clean, and very elegant. It is a coffee that is calm, but definitely not boring.
Behind this lot stands the Kenissa Cooperative from the Jimma area in the Oromia region, where 263 smallholder farmers work together toproduce high-quality coffee at high altitudes of 2,000–2,100 meters above sea level. It is precisely these conditions that give the coffee enough time for slow ripening, which translates into greater sweetness and complexity in the cup. The Heirloom variety, typical of Ethiopia, offers a diversity of flavors and a delicate floral note characteristic of this region. The emphasis on hand-picking and careful sorting of the cherries ensures the purity and consistency of the resulting profile.
Processing is done using the fully washed method, which is typical for Lima and highlights the natural elegance of this coffee. After hulling, the beans undergo fermentation in water, where pulp residues are removed and the purity of the flavors is enhanced. Subsequent drying on elevated African beds under shade nets proceeds slowly and evenly, which helps stabilize the flavor profile and preserve its delicacy. The result is a coffee with a beautifully distinct character, blending freshness, sweetness, and light floral notes—ideal for moments when you want something balanced, clean, and naturally pleasant.
