About Nordbeans

Speciality Coffee Roasters from the North of Czech Republic.

We know that coffee isn't just about your daily caffeine intake. We also know that it goes a long way before it gets to our cups. From the planting of the seedling to handpicking of ripe fruit, washing, peeling, meticulous drying, and finally packing into jute bags so that the beans can head on their way across the ocean into Europe. We know it's a lot of work.

It may seem, that the rest is as easy as just roasting and selling. But the journey doesn't end there. We know that after making a cup of coffee, the whole process needs to be appreciated. It deserves it after such a long journey. We know how much hard work goes into it, and we know our coffee, its taste and its origins.

Good, darker roasted coffee suitable for both filter (fuller body) and espresso
I buy the coffee every year, and it always had a great tangerine aroma. Unfortunately, from the pack I bought this year, I can't smell it at all. You can't smell the grains themselves even after grinding, and no matter how much I play with the settings when preparing the v60, I didn't get a satisfactory result. When I read the positive reviews, I don't know if I could have had a different batch than the others, but in any case, I can't recommend the coffee for myself this year (the resulting taste is very average).
