Coffee with a distinctive sweetness and an unusual flavor profile. This is Costa Rica URENEA FAMILY from 1998 Coffee Roasters in Malmö, Sweden . In your cup, you will enjoy the fruity sweetness of dried tropical fruits accompanied by creamy notes of cocoa nibs. But what will probably surprise you most in your cup is the rumy freshness of Cuba Libre. Whether you enjoy it as an espresso or in a cup of filter coffee, this Costa Rica will definitely refresh your coffee routine and will not just be coffee, but an extraordinary moment.
These beans come from the picturesque Chirripó region of Costa Rica, where the Urena Rojas family has been lovingly growing coffee on their Café Rivense farm for generations. Today, a new generation of siblings, Ricardo, Luis, and Esteban, continue the work their parents began when they were just 18 years old, carefully carrying on the tradition of handcrafting every detail. In 2005, the family decided to take their dream further and built their own micro-mill, which allows them to process and export coffee directly from the farm, ensuring not only the unique quality but also the authenticity of each bean.
This coffee gets its full sweetness from the black honey method . In this method, the coffee cherries are peeled and left to dry with their pulp. During drying, the sugars contained in the pulp penetrate the beans, giving the coffee itself a distinctive fruitiness and sweetness. Unlike the red honey or yellow honey methods, for example, the black honey method leaves almost all of the pulp on the beans, giving the coffee a distinctive and unique flavor profile.
