It comes from the renowned Villa Betulia farm, managed by experienced producer Luis Anibal. Gesha coffee trees grow here at an impressive altitude of 1,800 to 2,000 meters above sea level, giving the beans ample time to develop their rich aromatic potential. With a cupping score of 89 points, it ranks among the world’s best. In today’s era of experimental fermentations, this coffee stands as a refreshing testament to tradition and quality. It is, quite simply, the “Holy Grail” in the form it was always intended to be—floral, tea-like, and incredibly clean.
The coffee was processed using the classic washed method, which allows its natural character and clearly defined flavor profile to shine through without any distracting influences. After careful harvesting of the cherries at optimal ripeness, the pulp is removed and the beans are fermented in clean water, after which they are dried. It is thanks to this precise process that the coffee retains its typical lightness and vibrant acidity, which we love so much in specialty coffee from Colombia.
