Jedno Kafe presents Colombia La Esmeralda in a way that captivates you from the very first sip and won’t let go. The cup bursts with sweet fruit—imagine apricot jam, juicy peaches, and nectarines, complemented by a subtle hint of ripe plum. The entire profile comes across as naturally sweet and beautifully rounded, without any unnecessary distracting notes. The body is smooth, almost syrupy, giving the coffee a full and pleasant mouthfeel. The acidity is gentle and balanced, holding the flavor together and adding juiciness. The taste is exactly the kind that makes you immediately reach for another cup.
Jedno Kafe is returning to the La Esmeralda farm in Colombia’s Huila region for the third time, and it’s no coincidence. Producer Andrés Quintero has won us over with his meticulous work and attention to detail, thanks to which his coffee stands out for its purity and natural fruity sweetness. This year, you can also enjoy it in a new form, roasted for espresso, where its character takes on an even fuller and deeper dimension. Colombia and Castillo coffee trees grow at altitudes exceeding 2,000 meters above sea level, where they ripen slowly and evenly. This is precisely what contributes to the complexity and fullness of the resulting cup.
This coffee is processed using the washed method, which allows its clean and structured flavor profile to shine through. Hand-picked cherries are pulped and then gently processed and dried so that the coffee retains its natural sweetness and elegance. In addition, modern Ecomill technology enables efficient and gentle processing with an emphasis on the purity of the resulting cup.
