Behind this coffee is Ana Lucía Urbano, an exceptional farmer from Colombia who runs her farm with great care, respect for nature, and a deep passion for coffee. She lives on the farm year-round and personally oversees every step of the process, from cultivation to harvesting to processing. Of the total 32 hectares, 8 are planted with Caturra coffee trees, with the rest forming a protected nature reserve. Lucía avoids chemical agents and instead uses her own compost, produced directly on the farm. Lucía is also actively involved in support programs for growers, especially women. Her dedication to the community, sustainability, and quality is reflected in every cup. Finca 1810 is a coffee with soul – and definitely worth your attention.
The coffee was processed using the washed method, which ensures purity, distinctive acidity, and a precise flavor profile. After harvesting, the cherries are sorted, fermented, and then thoroughly washed. They are then dried on raised beds, where their flavor potential develops naturally under careful supervision.
