The coffee beans originate in the coffee superpower of Colombia, in the Huila region, where coffee is grown at an altitude of around 1,900 meters above sea level on fertile mountain slopes . The lot was created under the guidance of Azahar Coffee and is composed of coffees from several carefully selected farmers. The Colombia, Castillo, and Bourbon varieties used bring natural sweetness, balance, and a stable flavor base that is also ideal for decaffeination. The cupping score of 86 points definitely confirms the quality of this decaf.
Decaffeination is carried out using the gentle Sugarcane Decaf (EA) method, which preserves the maximum natural flavor. Green coffee processed using the traditional washed method is first steamed at low pressure to soften the beans and prepare them for decaffeination. Natural ethyl acetate obtained from sugar cane fermentation is then used to selectively bind the caffeine. The process involves repeated washing, steam cleaning, and drying in vacuum drums to achieve the ideal moisture content. Finally, the beans are treated with carnauba wax for better protection and stability. The result is a washed EA decaf that retains its sweetness, fruitiness, and purity—in short, a decaf that tastes like real specialty coffee.
