The Hario V60 is the most legendary dripper in the world, and the NEO version shows that even a classic can be improved upon. Japanese company Hario has come up with a well-thought-out upgrade that builds on the proven V60 shape while offering a new level of control over extraction. The result is a dripper that combines the clarity typical of the V60 with a more delicate sweetness and fuller body. The ideal choice for those who want a light, clear cup without an empty impression.

The fundamental change lies in the redesigned geometry of the ribs. Compared to the classic V60, their number, shape, and angle have been modified so that the filter paper touches the walls of the dripper more. As a result, the water flows evenly across the entire surface, contact with the coffee is more stable, and extraction takes place not only at the bottom but also along the side walls. In practice , this means a more balanced flavor, less bitterness, and a beautifully rounded sweetness. The flavor profile lies somewhere between conical and flat bottom drippers—it retains the typical purity of the V60, but adds fullness and subtle layers of flavor.

A mini-guide on how to easily prepare coffee on the Hario V60 NEO dripper:

  1. Heat the water
  2. Placea Hariopaper filter of the appropriate size on the dripper and pour hot water over it to remove the paper taste
  3. Pour15 gof ground coffee into the wet filter
  4. Pour30 mlof water over the coffee (this is called "blooming") and wait
  5. After30 seconds, slowly pour in water for up to 2 minutes. Once all the water has passed through the filter, you can enjoy your amazing filtered coffee!
