When you first unscrew the lid, youâll be greeted by an unusually white interior: unlike most stainless steel thermos mugs, the Australians have coated theirs with a thin ceramic layer. This layer prevents any unwanted flavors from seeping into your coffee, so youâll feel like youâre drinking from your grandmotherâs porcelain mug, no matter where you are with your mug. â To ensure the seal and lid mechanism work perfectly, let the coffee cool slightly before screwing the lid on. However, if youâre in a hurry , we recommend first clicking the lid to open it, then screwing the entire lid on tightly, and only then closing the lid by clicking the center again âthis will prevent the drink from spurting out of the drinking hole due to excess pressure caused by the high temperature of the beverage. It is precisely when the drinkâs temperature exceeds 65°C that excess pressure can force the drink out drop by drop, and you donât want that.đ You wonât lose heatâthe stainless steel keeps your coffee warm for several hours. To give you a better idea, at a temperature of about 90°C, the drink will cool down to around 58°C within 2 hours, making it a great companion for anyone who wants to savor their coffee gradually, perhaps on the way to work.
