Acacia Hills Gesha from Nomad Coffee is an elegant Tanzanian coffee that combines pronounced fruitiness with delicate floral notes. Its aroma is reminiscent of oolong tea, citrus zest, and yellow kiwi, while its flavor features the sweetness of tropical fruits—such as papaya and guarana—along with a fresh citrus note. Its juicy body and bright acidity give it a lively, clean character that will particularly appeal to those of you who enjoy lighter, aromatic Gesha coffees.

The beans come from the Acacia Hills farm on the slopes of Mount Oldeani in the Karatu region of northern Tanzania, where coffee trees grow at an elevation of approximately 1, 750 to 1,950 meters above sea level. This is a Gesha AA variety from the 2026 harvest. Leon Christianakis and Mark Stell took over the farm in 2007 and gradually shifted its focus to specialty coffee. They ensure quality through soil analysis, thoughtful shade management, and meticulous processing methods, among other measures. Acacia Hills also contributes to the development of the local coffee community and hosts the “Cupping at the Crater” event.

The coffee is processed using the washed method. Ripe cherries are harvested by hand and then undergo open-air fermentation for 12 to 13 hours. They are then washed and sorted to retain only the highest-quality beans. Drying takes place on raised African drying beds for approximately 13 to 16 days, depending on the weather, until the moisture content drops to about 12%. The result is a clean and balanced cup in which the Gesha can showcase its characteristic delicacy and aromatic profile.
