About Balance Coffee
Balance Coffee is a London based coffee roastery founded by James Bellis, who after 8 years in the coffee industry was ready to find his own "balance" and bring people great coffee even at home.
“For me, balance is the key to living your best life! We’re all trying our best to balance our dream career and personal pursuits. The thing that connects all of life’s moments together, is coffee. That little cup of joy that motivates me to bring my A-game at work, that creates intimate memories with family and friends. The fuel for my workouts and that moment of pause with my favourite book. So why to settle for anything less than exceptional coffee?” says James.
The coffee industry wasn’t a random decision for James. Not only does he run the @eating_in_london Instagram account, where he blogs about the top food spots in London, he has also learnt the craft of coffee from the ground up. “I left university and had a fluke opportunity to join the coffee industry via a family contact,” James explains. “I ended up joining one of the UK’s largest coffee companies as a barista trainer. Here I trained other people how to make coffee in a matter of weeks after some very intense training. I essentially went from ‘disliking coffee’ to coffee becoming a huge part of my life and daily routine.”
