D612 Coffee Roasters is a small Florentine roaster of fine coffee that since 2016 has combined a passion for quality coffee with an emphasis on transparency and sustainability. They do things differently - with heart and mind. They roast several times a week to guarantee maximum freshness, they hand-pack each package and everything is geared towards one goal: to bring the freshness and character of the beans in full force to your home.
The roastery was founded by Lucian Trapanese, who gained experience at several European roasters before deciding to embark on his own adventure. Today, D612 is created in tandem with Lorenzo Caldarelli - the two share not only a taste for good coffee, but also a desire to discover exceptional farmers and share their stories. With each new coffee, you get a little ride with them around the world.
The D612 roasts to bring out the natural flavours of the coffee - no unnecessary intervention, no over-roasting. The beans are carefully selected, often from small farms with clear provenance and ethical practices. They see coffee as a tool of connection - between the farmer, the roaster and you. Each cup should be authentic, legible and memorable.
D612 already has a firm place in the Italian coffee selection scene. You'll find their coffees in popular Florentine establishments like Simbiosi, Melaleuca and Brac - and increasingly in the cups of those looking for a flavour with a story.
