Peru La Ponderosa Gesha is a coffee for moments when you want elegance without fuss. Immediately after smelling it, a bouquet of flowers emerges—pure, distinctive, and layered, like a freshly opened herbarium. The flavor smoothly develops into Earl Grey, a delicate black tea with bergamot, which holds the axis of the cup and gives it nobility. The finish belongs to juicy peach, which combines sweetness with pleasant, medium acidity and leaves a long, velvety aftertaste on the palate. The body is light to medium, smooth, with beautiful clarity – exactly how a great Gesha should be.

This coffee comes from the La Ponderosa farm in the Chontalí community (Jaén province, Cajamarca department, Peru). The grower is Dreyde Delgado, an agricultural engineer who combines science with tradition and pays attention to detail at every step. The plantation is located at an altitude of around 1,960 meters above sea level, where cool nights and sunny days slow down the ripening of the cherries and concentrate the sugars and aromatic substances. The result is a cup that retains the elegance of Gesha, but also offers the fullness and stability that you will appreciate in your daily preparation.

Processing is anaerobic washed with a clear protocol and maximum transparency. The cherries first ferment for 72 hours without oxygen in closed tanks, then they are washed. This is followed by a second phase: another 110 hours of controlled fermentation with coffee cherry juice, which deepens the fruity sweetness and tea-like elegance. After a second wash, the beans are gently dried to a stable moisture content. This process gives the cup a rare combination: floral purity, tea finesse, and peach juiciness, while the acidity remains refined and the structure silky.
