Hacienda La Esmeralda has a long history. Its lands were first consolidated in the 1940s by Swedish Hans Elliott, and since 1967 , the farm has been run by Swedish-American banker Rudolph Peterson. Today, the farm is a symbol of top quality, and each cherry is carefully harvested by hand. The coffee grows in the mountains of Boquete, where the altitude, volcanic soil, and balanced ratio of sun and rain allow for the cultivation of unique beans. The farm is environmentally sustainable, mainly thanks to solar energy and harmonious coexistence with the local fauna and flora.
Lot Private Velo is processed using the WX (washed)method – hand-picked cherries are destemmed and fermented for 48 hours, then slowly dried on raised screens. Geisha, known for its exceptional quality at high altitudes, exhibits typical citrus and floral aromas along with the delicate sweetness of stone fruit and brown sugar.
