Kenya Endebess from Not Another Boring Roastery is a fruity ride that takes you to the very heart of Kenyan flavour. The very first sip reveals strawberry jam, juicy blueberries and exotic mango, which concludes with a sweet, slightly vinous finish. The resulting profile is juicy, playful yet balanced, perfect for those looking for more than just routine in their coffee. You'll enjoy this beauty both as a fruity filter and as an unforgettable espresso to brighten any day.
The coffee is sourced from the Trans Nzoiya region, specifically from Endebess Estate Farm and Kaitet Tea Plantation, located at the foot of the volcanic Mount Elgon mountain range. Due to the altitude of 1750-1950m above sea level, the coffee here matures slowly, contributing to its rich sweetness and complexity. The combination of the Batian, Ruiru 11, SL28 and SL34 varieties brings the best of Kenyan genetics, hardiness, a rich aromatic profile and a typical fruity sparkle. Farms in this area often work in smaller blocks and focus on precise harvesting and processing of each harvest.
The dry processing method (natural) brings out the sweetness and fruity character of this coffee in an excellent way. The beans remain in contact with the pulp for a long time during the slow drying process on raised African beds. This process gives the coffee depth, syrupy richness and a pleasantly layered profile. Kenya Endebess is proof that even with traditionally washed Kenyan coffees, natural can surprise in flavour, texture and overall experience in the cup.
