The taste corresponds to the label. It is distinctive, barrel-aged and the whiskey in the aftertaste is strongly felt
If, like me, you don't like whiskey, you may not like coffee. I personally hate whiskey. I don't give this coffee and I haven't been able to drink enough to start liking it. I wouldn't buy it

Indistinct taste (the whiskey smelled more like whole grains, after grinding and extraction it somehow disappeared) - for me, in the section of these coffees, the one from Darkwoods coffee still leads the way.
I also found the taste quite bitter.
I never put milk in my coffee, but here, on the contrary, it was quite useful and softened the coffee - which is a bit of a problem for me. :D

simple, perhaps even an unpleasant hot taste towards the end
it's hard to take a positive view of this coffee when I previously had the original from Dark woods roasters. I'd rather pay you up front.
