Ethiopia GESHA VILLAGE - Gesha Oma/22 WX, from the Norwegian roaster Coffea Circulor, is an exceptional Ethiopian Gesha from the Bench Maji region, specifically from Meanit Shasha Woreda, Oma village. From the very first sip, this cup will captivate you with the sweetness of apricots, honey-like smoothness, and refreshing lemon notes. Its light, juicy body and harmonious acidity give the coffee an elegance and smoothness that comes through beautifully when prepared using a filter. Each sip reveals the purity of flavors that comes from a careful selection of unique Oma lots, ideal for true specialty coffee lovers.
The Gesha Village farm was built with sustainability and respect for the local community in mind. It is located in dense forests that provide the ideal microclimate, rich soil, and shade needed to grow this highly prized variety. The Oma lot is named after a respected religious leader of the local Meanit people and represents a carefully selected part of the forest population that most closely resembles the Panamanian Gesha. Coffee from this area is the result of a combination of natural conditions, meticulous farm care, and the traditions of local growers.
Processing is carried out using the washed WX method – the pulp is mechanically removed from the cherries, followed by wet fermentation for 12–36 hours and repeated washing, then drying in the shade and subsequently on African raised beds for 12–19 days. Coffee processed in this gentle manner retains all its aromatic nuances, resulting in a harmonious, balanced cup with a light body, medium acidity, and a honey-citrus finish. Prepared for filter brewing, it offers a true taste of Ethiopian specialty coffee that will delight even experienced coffee connoisseurs.
