Respekt Coffee’sEthiopia Adado is an espresso that showcases the delicate and elegant character of Ethiopian coffees, even with a fuller and sweeter profile. In the cup , notes of apricot jam, white tea, and a subtle nutty undertone reminiscent of praline unfold. The profile is sweet, balanced, and smooth, with gentle acidity and a creamier body that makes the espresso very pleasant and easy to drink. It works great on its own, but also shines in milk-based drinks, where its sweetness and tea-like delicacy really stand out.
The coffee comes from the Adado area in the legendary Yirgacheffe region, where coffee is grown using traditional agroforestry methods in the shade of native trees. Production is overseen by the Dinigiu family, who, on their 12-hectare farm, build on generations of experience and respect for the land. Dozens of seasonal workers are involved during the harvest, and the entire process is carried out by hand with an emphasis on detail. Thanks to investments in sorting technologies, such as floating tanks, the high purity and quality of each lot are maintained.
Processing is done using the natural method, which enhances the sweetness and body of the cup. After selective hand-picking, the cherries are sorted and then dried on raised African beds for 11–15 days, where they are regularly turned and protected from direct sunlight. This slow process allows for the development of complex flavors and a stable profile. The result is an espresso that combines typical Ethiopian floral notes with a delicate sweetness and a creamier body, delivering an elegant and balanced taste experience.
