The Herbazú farm is one of the leading producers of specialty coffee in Costa Rica's West Valley region. Villa Sarchí is a local variety characterized by smaller beans with high density, which gives it more pronounced, brighter flavors and great sweetness. This coffee has been processed using the Semi Washed method, in which the fruit is first mechanically stripped of some of its pulp and then briefly fermented. The remaining sweet layer on the bean is dried directly in the sun, allowing intense sweet flavors to penetrate the coffee while preserving its purity. The result is a perfectly balanced profile that combines natural sweetness with lively fruit tones and a silky smooth texture without any astringency or bitterness.
