SOLACE from Dark Arts Coffee is a coffee that will immediately captivate you with its freshness and floral elegance. It comes from the Santa Mónica farm in the Quindìo region of Colombia. Refreshing notes of Turkish lokum unfold in the cup, pleasantly complemented by the light acidity of lemonade, and finally a delicate floral accent of jasmine is added, which elevates the coffee and gives it an irresistible, elegant character. Each sip brings a new experience that will captivate you with its balance of sweetness, freshness, and floral notes.
This coffee grows at an altitude of 1,450 to 1,500 meters above sea level, in soil rich in volcanic ash. The Santa Mónica farm is run by Jairo Arcila, who specializes in growing high-quality coffee and innovative practices. This micro-lot consists exclusively of the Pink Bourbon variety, which is known for its delicate and complex flavor. This variety has its roots in the Huila region, where it originated as a mutation, and finds ideal conditions for perfect growth and development in the Quindío region.
The coffee was processed using the Rose Co-ferment Honey method, which means that the cherries were fermented in anaerobic conditions in the presence of crushed rose petals. This unique 72-hour process adds a floral component to the coffee that blends harmoniously with its natural sweetness. After fermentation, the cherries were peeled and dried on raised beds, ensuring optimal humidity and an exceptional balance of flavors. With a cupping score of 90, SOLACE is a true masterpiece in the art of processing and growing quality coffee.
