Caffeine-free, but with the taste of a tropical morning. This exceptional new product from the Jedno Kafe roastery in Liberec, sourced from the Los Nogales farm in Colombia, is like a summer breeze among roses and mango trees. The cup blends rose, lime, lemongrass, passion fruit, and mango—a combination that is incredibly fresh and energetic, yet delicate and harmonious. The coffee offers a pure, floral-fruity expression without any compromise in flavor, even though it is decaffeinated.
Behind this coffee is Oscar Hernández, a visionary and leader of the Los Nogales family farm, located in the Bruselas area of Huila. This part of Colombia is considered the heart of specialty coffee production and is home to some of the most distinctive and pure profiles in the entire country. Oscar continues the legacy of his father, Ricaurto, winner of the 2006 Colombian Cup of Excellence, and with each lot he confirms that even decaffeinated coffee can have depth, character, and top quality.
Caffeine is removed using the innovative Decaf Mosto Process, which mimics the natural fermentation process. The beans are first hand-picked and sorted, then undergo 24 hours of fermentation and thorough washing to maintain purity. This is followed by drying on African beds, a gentle hot bath, and maceration in a natural extract from coffee cherry pulp, during which the caffeine is gently removed without chemicals. As a result, the flavor remains full, aromatic, and naturally sweet—a reminder that even decaf can be exceptional.
