Monteblanco Strawberry from Tanat Coffee is a coffee that transforms Colombian fruitiness into a playful, dessert-like experience. In the cup, intense notes of strawberries, blueberries, and yogurt come together, wrapped in a creamy body and a delicately sweet, very fruity finish. The coffee feels “funky” yet remains smooth and approachable, retaining its joyful juiciness without any unnecessary heaviness. A light roast for drip brewing highlights its sweetness, medium acidity, and distinctive aroma, reminiscent of a fruit dessert in a cup.
The beans come from Colombia, from the renowned Finca Monteblanco farm, located at an altitude of 1,730 meters above sea level in the Pitalito region. Behind the coffee is producer Rodrigo Sanchez, whose micro-farm is described on the roaster’s website as a place of innovation and experimentation with fermentation. It is precisely thanks to his approach that lots are created that are not afraid to transcend traditional notions of Colombian terroir and present it in a new, aromatically distinctive form. In this case, it is the Caturra variety, which, thanks to the processing method, reveals its full fruity intensity.
Processing is carried out using the Red Fruits Co-Fermentation method. The coffee cherries are fermented together with red fruit nectar and yeast to highlight the aromatic complexity of the resulting cup. This process is responsible for the pronounced notes of strawberries and blueberries, as well as the creamy texture reminiscent of yogurt. The result is a coffee that tastes sweet, full-bodied, and exceptionally fruity, yet retains the structure and clarity suitable for filter brewing. Monteblanco Strawberry is thus the ideal choice for moments when you want a filter coffee that is not only delicate and elegant, but truly enjoyable.
