Colombia from Jedno Kafe Lemongrass welcomes you with a fresh, dynamic expression in your cup: lemongrass, subtle notes of green tea, floral jasmine, and sweet honey combine in an elegant symphony. This coffee comes from the Oporapa area in the Huilaregion, and as soon as you transition from aroma to taste, you will notice a truly distinctive acidity—which, rather than being sharp, is lively and clean—along with a delicate, lighter body and a long floral-sweet aftertaste. In short: if you are looking for something unusual that will take you away from the usual coffee tones and offer something fresh, herbal, almost "tea-like," this lot is ideal.
It comes from the Quebraditas Coffee Farm, run by Ángela Rojas and Edinson Argote in the Oporaparegion. Both avoid mass production, preferring a family-based approach, experimenting with fermentation, biodiversity, and community support in the region. This farm is unique in that it openly explores new approaches—and this "Colombian lemongrass" lot version is proof of that. The Huila region is renowned for its altitude, high-quality soils, and microclimate, which allow the coffee to excel—and this project also emphasizes community development, biodiversity, and a conscious approach to production.
What makes this coffee truly special is its processing method: after harvesting, the beans first underwent 24 hours of oxidation. This was followed by 72 hours of immersed fermentation in a liquid with lemongrass and added yeast. After fermentation, the beans were dried at lower temperatures, preserving the playful herbal and tea notes without giving the coffee a heavy body or dark caramel profile.
