The popular American roastery Prodigal Coffee brings a coffee packed with tropical fruit notes, celebrated for its clarity, delicate fruitiness, and smooth body. This Pink Bourbon is a showcase of precise Colombian craftsmanship, offering flavors of apricot, mango, and orange. The coffee stands out with its delicious complexity and refreshes with a juicy, fruity profile.
Finca La Esperanza is located in the Huila region of Colombia and spans 5.5 hectares. It specializes in cultivating the Pink Bourbon and Caturra varieties, with the former being especially prized for its delicate aroma and complex flavor. Thanks to the high altitude and ideal climate of the region, the coffee beans develop a rich flavor profile with pronounced fruity notes. This coffee was sourced in collaboration with The Coffee Quest, an organization focused on carefully selecting the best microlots and supporting farmers in sustainable growing practices.
The coffee is washed with precise control of the fermentation process. After harvesting, the cherries are depulped and undergo a dry fermentation for approximately 48 hours. This is followed by a triple washing, which helps remove all remaining mucilage and preserve flavor clarity. The coffee is then dried for two weeks in a covered greenhouse, where it is protected from adverse weather and allowed to dry evenly. This careful process allows the coffee to develop its delicate fruity nuances and deliver a unique combination of sweetness, freshness, and elegance in every cup.
