Colombia EL TESORO from the Danish roaster April is a Pink Bourbon coffee that demonstrates why this variety has become so popular among specialty coffee lovers in recent years. In the cup , you’ll find a harmonious blend of honeyed sweetness, candied lemon, and delicate floral notes. The flavor is very clean and elegant. The coffee offers a sparkling acidity, a silky body, and a long, sweet aftertaste that will have you coming back for more.

The coffee comes from the El Tesoro farm, located in the Palestina area of Colombia’s Huila region. Huila is one of the country’s most renowned coffee-growing regions , where the combination of high altitude, fertile soils, and a stable climate creates ideal conditions for producing exceptional coffees. The farm is managed by Victor Barrera, who has long focused on improving the quality of his production and continuously invests in developing processing facilities. Part of these investments included, for example, expanding drying capacities with mobile raised beds, which allow for better control over the drying process and help preserve the maximum quality of the harvested cherries. For the April roastery, this marks the third season of collaboration with this farm, specifically with the Pink Bourbon variety, which attests to confidence in the farm’s consistently high production standards.

The washed processing highlights the purity and transparency of the flavor profile. After harvesting, the coffee cherries are pulped and then fermented in water to remove any remaining fruit layer. The beans are then carefully washed and dried under controlled conditions. This processing method allows the natural characteristics of the Pink Bourbon variety and the unique character of the Huila region to shine through. The resulting cup fully expresses bright acidity, floral elegance, and honeyed sweetness that lingers pleasantly long after the last sip.
