Alto Cielo #1 coffee from Candycane Coffee is a juicy, sweet, and distinctly fruity coffee that will draw you in from the very first sip. It is dominated by notes of tropical fruit punch, ripe exotic fruit, and a distinctive, pleasantly rounded sweetness reminiscent of panela. A slightly wine-like character adds depth and elegance to the flavor without making it heavy. The profile is playful, lively, and clean, with a beautifully balanced structure that will delight lovers of naturally processed coffees looking for richness without unnecessary wildness.

The beans come from the Gigante area in the Huila region of Colombia, one of the country's most renowned coffee-growing areas. The Alto Cielo farm is located at an altitude of 1,805 meters above sea level and has been run since 1998 by Luz Andrea Cabrera López, who is continuing the tradition of her family's third generation. The local climate, abundant sunshine, and fertile soil create ideal conditions for growing select coffee with a distinctive sweetness and fruitiness. This lot is prepared in small quantities, with personal supervision by the producer and an emphasis on precision at every step.

Processing is done using the natural method, which allows the natural character of the Colombia variety to develop to its fullest. Hand-picked, perfectly ripe cherries ferment for approximately 72 hours and are then slowly dried in the shade, along with their skin and pulp, to preserve the purity and balance of the flavor. Careful control of fermentation and drying results in a coffee with a clear sweetness, fruity depth, and an elegant wine-like touch. With a cupping score of 87 points, Alto Cielo #1 is the ideal choice for those who want to discover natural coffees in their most appealing and purest form.
