About Francin Roasters

The Kafe Francin roastery was founded in 2016 in Prague's Malešice, after the opening of the Holešovice Kafe Francin cafe, for a while roasting took place right on the spot, in front of customers, however, the coffee scene is growing and so is this roaster - so they returned to Malešice, where in larger premises still roasts exclusively selected coffee and specialty coffee (clear origin, hand-harvested and high-quality beans).

The founders, František and Olda, are happy to give each customer a tasting and present their coffee the way they like it. However, if the client's idea is different, it is not a problem to choose a different grain or adjust the roasting method so that the quality remains and the taste corresponds to a specific wish.

Not only can you buy great beans here, you can also arrange one of their coffee courses with the guys. You can choose from a basic course on coffee, preparation of alternative coffee drinks or an advanced course suitable for baristas or simply for every coffee lover.

You can now also order their grains here at Kofiu, but if you happen to be passing Holešovice, be sure to stop by their cafe. You will not regret!

surprisingly, it has a distant taste of gingerbread and dark chocolate, spoiled by unpleasant acidity and robusta taste
At first glance, I didn't read that it was a blend of Arabica and Robusta
An unpleasant sour taste, which is probably caused by the apricot marmalade at the end
robusta spoils the taste, there is such an unpleasant bitterness

It is a blend of 50% Arabica and 50% Robusta with a dark roast (known for the oils that the grain releases to the surface)
It didn't taste good at all and I don't recommend it at all, no flavor profile, just bitterness - but what else can you expect from a robusta
