The basic material of the Hypernova stones is stainless steel 440 with an HRC65 blade hardness. The stones are coated with a titanium layer for increased durability and heat resistance. The edges of the stones do not heat up during grinding, which in turn affects the overall durability and sharpness of the edges. Also, 440 stainless steel transfers the heat generated during grinding more slowly. Thanks to the cool grinding stones, purity and sweetness remain in the grain.
The grinding speed of titanium coated stones is slightly slower than ordinary stainless steel only stones. The reason is the smoother surface. However, thanks to the features mentioned above and slightly slower grinding, you will achieve a much better consistency of grinding and distribution of individual coffee particles in the total amount of ground coffee.
