Elevate your home espresso preparation with the Encore ESP! Yes, you can see well! The popular Baratza Encore grinder returns in a new and improved ESP version! Thanks to the innovative gadgets inside its body, it will be able to grind your beans for both filter and espresso. In short, the Baratza Encore ESP grinder is a dream come true and a great choice for novice home baristas or even more advanced users looking for a compact, universal grinder

Key features

The Encore grinder has always been able to grind great coffee for pour-over or other alternative coffee preparation methods, but lacked the micro-regulation needed to make delicious espresso. So what makes the Encore ESP grinder capable of making espresso?

  • MICRO-REGULATION

Baratza's engineers took advantage of the micro and macro adjustment mechanism, which they adapted and simplified for easier and more intuitive handling. The first 20 clicks of the Encore ESP coffee machine's settings allow for micro-adjustments just right for making espresso, while the next 20 settings allow for larger macro-adjustments that cover the rest of the grind size range. The result is an intuitive setting mechanism that makes switching between different coffee preparation methods a breeze.

  • DOSING CUP AND ADAPTER

The 54mm diameter dosing cup (and included 58mm diameter adapter ring) make it easy to transfer the ground coffee directly to the portafilter, resulting in less mess and an even distribution that's ready to tamp! Fits most portafilter baskets of home coffee machines. You can use the included dispenser to catch the ground coffee and transfer it to the portafilter for espresso preparation, and for other preparation methods you can replace it with a classic collection container.

  • BRITISH

Baratza has even included their M2 40mm conical stone in the great mechanism for maximum flavor awesomeness. Carefully manufactured in Europe, they produce the consistent and precise grind needed for espresso and all other preparation methods. Among other things, the conical edge of the coffee machine can be easily removed without the use of additional tools, making cleaning and maintenance very easy.

  • ENGINE

A powerful high-torque DC motor effortlessly drives the entire internal mechanism of the grinder. This motor rotates slowly, resulting in cool, quieter operation and allowing for long grinding cycles. The circuit is equipped with an automatically resetting thermal switch. This thermal overload protection protects the motor from overheating due to excessive use. At the same time, it also ensures a smooth supply of grains to the mill plates.

  • CALIBRATION

The innovative grinder calibration system ensures that each grinder is ready to grind for most portafilter baskets of home coffee machines. If necessary, the grinders can be calibrated by the user.

Hello, I bought the grinder from you about 14 days ago. It was grinding too coarsely from the start, which was solved by two washers installed according to the instructions.

But I would like to know if it is normal that 2-3 grams of coffee always remain in the coffee machine when grinding for espresso. It does not help to moisten the beans, nor to tap the body of the coffee machine from any side. Sometimes they fall out on their own after a long time and manipulation of the coffee machine, in the worst case they end up in the next batch, for example on the filter...

Some retention is normal, but here it is about 15% ground coffee. Now I put 17.5 g in it and I have 15.2 g back.

Thanks for the reply.

Hello, Lukas. This is actually a common occurrence with most coffee machines. In most cases, you still get settled coffee from the grinder when you start grinding again. We wish you a nice day! :)
What kind is the plug?
