Coffee is culture. That's the motto that guides the people at 1998 Coffee Roasters in their craft. They prepare coffee in a way that builds bridges between people and fills them with flavor, creativity, and experiences. Meet 1998 Coffee Roasters – a Swedish roastery in Malmö that combines select coffee with retro aesthetics and an authentic community atmosphere. In their world, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee meets vintage design, attention to detail, and a desire to create a space with soul.

The roastery was born out of a desire for a place where coffee could become a tool for sharing, discovery, and self-expression. The name "1998" is more than just a year – it is a symbol of a certain generation, values, and aesthetic sensibility that spills over into every detail of their work. The roastery team focuses on the careful selection of green coffee, consistent roasting and an approach that emphasizes quality, originality and responsibility towards farmers. It's not just a drink, but an experience that connects people, tastes and cultures.

Behind the whole project are Carl Triberg and Mario Vezic, who founded the roastery with a clear vision: to create a place where coffee serves as a natural link between people. Benjamin Edman is in charge of sourcing, i.e., selecting coffees from different corners of the world, and Alexandra Vilman connects production with the brand's visual identity. Together, they form a strong yet approachable team that, with respect for the raw ingredients and a great deal of enthusiasm, transforms coffee culture into something alive and real. 1998 Coffee Roasters is a place where coffee meets culture, style, and story—and every cup is proof of that.
