The Punkt. roastery grew out of a café project in Brno that is now inextricably linked not only to specialty coffee, but also to atmosphere, community, and everyday city life. As they put it simply on their own website: great coffee is just a bonus. Today, the Punkt. brand encompasses cafés, a bakery, and its own roastery, and the whole operation feels like a naturally interconnected world where good coffee isn’t put on a pedestal but becomes a normal part of the day. And that’s precisely what’s so appealing about Punkt.: nothing feels forced; everything comes together with ease and a clear vision.

Behind the Punkt. brand are Klára and Martin Dutkiewič, who gradually built a much broader concept from the original café project. As they describe it themselves, after the first year of operation, they began baking their own pastries and desserts, and later added their own production facilities and additional locations. Today, Punkt. is not just a single location but a thriving business with several spots in Brno and over a decade of development behind it. Yet the brand has lost none of what shaped it in the beginning—an emphasis on quality, a pleasant atmosphere, and the feeling that people love coming back here.

Punkt. has been roasting its own coffee since 2022 and works exclusively with specialty coffee with a cupping score above 80 points. They roast to a lighter profile to bring out the natural flavor of each lot as much as possible. The roastery uses three machines — a larger Giesen with a capacity of 6 kg of green coffee, a smaller Coffee-Tech for 2.4 kg, and an Ikawa sample roaster . They carefully select their coffees, cup them regularly, and don’t focus on just one region; they’re primarily interested in complexity, quality, and variety. They collaborate with several importers and also purchase some of their coffee directly from farmers.

Beyond the roastery itself, Punkt. is also a strong destination where you can sit down, enjoy an espresso, have something sweet from their own bakery, and unwind for a moment. In Brno , they currently operate locations on Bayerova and Štefánikova streets, where there is also an espresso bar connected to the roastery. The entire project thus relies not only on its products but also on the environment it has built around itself—and it is precisely because of this that Punkt. doesn’t come across as just another roastery, but as a brand with its own pace, its own atmosphere, and a very clear vision of what modern coffee culture should taste and look like.
