Get ready for a tropical ride! Quo Coffee presents a fantastic new addition from Peru – La Orquídea. This filter coffee selection is proof that Peruvian coffees have a lot to offer. And this one is truly exceptional! You'll be convinced from the very first sip – sweet like lychee, juicy like ripe mango, and finished with a surprising, delicate, long aftertaste reminiscent of white tea. This is a washed lot from the high-altitude region of Lonya Grande, sourced by the Norwegian specialty importer Nordic Approach.
The La Orquídea farm is located in the Lonya Grande region of northern Peru at an altitude of 2,150 meters above sea level, where the ideal climate and altitude conditions for growing select coffee come together. The farm's owner, Litman Díaz, specializes in growing Bourbon and Geisha varieties, two cultivars that excel in complex flavors, elegant sweetness, and delicate floral notes. Thanks to Mr. Díaz's dedication and precision at every step of production, this coffee is rightly winning the hearts of coffee enthusiasts around the world.
The washed processing method gives the coffee purity and brings out its natural fruity character. The cherries were carefully fermented and washed to preserve the beans' delicacy and typical flavor profile. The result is a coffee that is both intense and delicate, sweet and fresh—simply ideal for filter coffee lovers who crave an exceptional cup with a tea-like body and a tropical twist.
