Geisha Lamastus Vuelta is an exclusive coffee from Panama, offered by Mazelab as a special release. A delicate yet complex taste experience for lovers of premium coffee. The flavor reflects notes of delicate white flowers, citrus peel, and juicy peaches. The coffee has a fresh, floral character with a delicate and elegant fruity undertone, complemented by a peach juice aftertaste. This combination of aromas and flavors makes Lamastus Vuelta an exceptional experience, combining floral nuances with fruity sweetness and subtle citrus acidity in your cup.
The coffee beans come from the Lamastus family, who grow them in the Boquete region. This area is known for its favorable microclimate for coffee: high altitude, cooler nighttime temperatures, frequent morning fog, and rich, well-drained soil. The Boquete region has a long tradition of cultivation and is considered one of the most prestigious areas for specialties in Panama. It is the altitude that allows for a more pronounced acidity and a more delicate texture in the taste. The Lamastus family is committed to meticulous care of the plantation—shade selection, proper agronomy, sustainability, and selection of ripe cherries—in order to offer the highest quality possible.
The processing is washed. This means that after harvesting, the cherries are separated from the pulp and then washed, fermented, and dried. Washed processing tends to result in a more pronounced purity of flavor, greater transparency of aromas, and greater clarity of fruit and floral tones. This method of processing often allows the subtle nuances of the Geisha variety to stand out without the interference of the remaining pulp. As for roasting: Mazelab Coffee offers this coffee as a special release, so the roasting has been adjusted to preserve as much of the delicate aromas and balance as possible.
