FINCA ELIDA from Lamastus Family Estates, roasted by the German roaster Andraschko, is a selection of coffee that impresses not only by its origin, but above all by its flavour profile. The cup combines the sweetness of honey, the creaminess of milk chocolate and delicate almond notes reminiscent of marzipan. This medium-dark roast blend is designed for espresso preparation and will delight all lovers of an intense but balanced flavour with a subtle acidity. Thanks to the combination of two processing methods, it can offer a complex yet very harmonious expression. It is suitable not only for a morning cup full of energy, but also as an afternoon pick-me-up with an elegant sweetness.
The coffee beans come from the famous Panamanian farm Elida Estate, owned by the Lamastus family since 1918. Located in the Boquete region, this plantation is the highest coffee farm in all of Panama, ranging from 1,700 to 2,500 metres above sea level. The area's exceptional microclimate, shaded cultivation and proximity to the Volcán Barú National Park create ideal conditions for the slow ripening of the coffee cherries and the intense development of aromatic compounds. At the same time, Elida Estate is known for its ecological approach - the coffee is grown in a nature-friendly way and in harmony with the local biodiverse ecosystem.
An interesting feature of this edition is the use of a single Catuai variety, but processed by two different methods - partly washed and partly natural. This unusual combination in one blend creates a rich yet balanced flavour profile. The washed portion brings purity and a subtle acidity to the final espresso, while the natural component provides sweetness and body. This methodical duality results in a cup that is both precise and full of character - perfect for those looking for something special in the world of fine coffee.
