Raro coffee from Ethiopia is like a sweet embrace in a cup. The very first sip lands on your tongue with the taste of ripe plums that is subtly underlined by creamy milk chocolate - just sweet enough, just warm enough. This is a cup that will make your mornings and rainy afternoons more pleasant, wrap you in a relaxing mood and leave you alone for a while. It's no wilderness, more like a quiet but flavourful ride that transports you to the green hills of Guji without ever having to get off the couch.
This coffee comes from SNAP Specialty Coffee, a cooperative located in the Uraga region of Guji, Ethiopia. The cooperative brings together over 230 small farmers who work together to improve quality, production and technological advancement. Through their efforts, the cooperative has become a major player in the region, with an emphasis on excellence in coffee quality and sustainability.
The coffee cherries are hand-picked and carefully selected before being sent to the cooperative. This batch is processed using the classic subsistence method: the cherries are spread out on African beds and dried for a minimum of 17 days. After drying, the coffee rests for two months before being shipped to customers. The variety used is J.A.R.K 74/158, known for its resistance to pests and higher yields. Thanks to this, you can now enjoy every bean, which is the work of more than two hundred farmers, the sun of the Ethiopian mountains and a lot of love for coffee. So take a moment for yourself, take a sip and enjoy.
