Oma Honey from the workshop of British roaster Ovni Coffee is a coffee that will captivate you with its complexity and excellent balance. Imagine red orange, tangerine, grapefruit, all with a subtle hint of bergamot and jasmine. This cup is refreshing and full of fruity acidity, with a subtle sweetness that gives the coffee perfect harmony. With every sip, you will enjoy a delicate yet explosive flavor that will transport you to tropical gardens full of ripe fruit and blooming flowers.

This coffee comes from the Gesha Village Coffee Estate, which was founded in 2011 in southwestern Ethiopia, in the Bench Maji region of the West Omo Zone. Adam Overton and Rachel Samuel, who founded the farm, decided to grow coffee at high altitudes, which proved to be ideal for select varieties. The farm focuses on growing high-quality coffee varieties, including Gesha 1931, which is known for its excellent flavor and appearance similar to Panamanian Geisha. Oma Block, where this lot comes from, is best known for its floral and fruity flavor, which is significantly developed thanks to ideal climatic conditions.

The coffee is processed using the honey method, which means that after harvesting, part of the pulp remains around the beans, contributing to the sweetness and complexity of the flavor. The coffee cherries are dried on raised African beds, where they are turned regularly to ensure even drying and development of the aromatic components. This processing method creates a flavor profile that combines fresh, fruity notes with a delicate floral sweetness, giving the coffee not only a full flavor but also a beautifully clean and lively character.
