The exquisite aroma of the beans, the amazing smell of ground coffee, and the divine taste of magic in a cup. Few coffees affect me this way. I have something to compare it to. I don't complicate the preparation unnecessarily; I don't take a scientific approach.
I didn't like how quickly it disappeared inside me. You simply want to have this coffee in your cup as often as possible!

Great balanced body for espresso
I found these beans working better for espresso than filter. After multiple grind and temperature adjustments, V60 and AeroPress still had bitter notes.

Good for moka, especially when you put it in the fridge to cool down and then make iced coffee
pretty simple
I didn't get the "intense" part
Thought it would have more complex flavors (or maybe just not my preference)

Consistency of brews – I've had 4 packs with different roasting dates
flavor profile
Caffeine content – this is very subjective, but I found that the beans contain less caffeine.

Preparation method: Hario V60 Coffee (g): 20g Water (g): 350g Water temperature: 93°C Grinder (setting): 42 Timemore Chestnut S3
Process: washed filter, 75g of water for blooming, left for 2 minutes, then slowly added 350g of water Preparation method: Aeropress Coffee (g): 20g Water (g): 400g Water temperature: 86°C Grinder (setting): 22 Timemore Chestnut S3
Process: reverse bloom - first I poured 150g of water into the inverted Aeropress, added the ground coffee, let it bloom for about 2 minutes, stirred and then filtered it - I did not repeat the process, the second pour of water was done in the classic way

Bold flavor, slightly bitter and if you focus on it, the figs are there too :)
In general, the coffees from the Berlin roastery The Barn are great :)

Wow. I’ve had their Volcan Azul Gesha as well. Both have blown me away. This one is more strong and in your face, yet it somehow doesn’t become too much.

Very interesting coffee
Clearly defined and clean flavors (dried figs, dried oranges, when the coffee cools down a bit, it leaves a cool menthol sensation on the tongue and a hint of nougat taste appears) - that's my humble subjective opinion
Pleasant fruity acidity
It does not suit higher extractions (e.g. Hoffmann 1 cup V60)

Clean and almost no bitterness
Very chocolatey upfront but pleasant acidity
Needs to be exposed with higher temperature, otherwise the aroma gets away quickly

Preparation Method: The extraction can be pushed quite high and it tastes pretty sweet and chocolaty. Just exactly as one would expect from this type of coffee and processing. Perfect.
