Behind this coffee is Wilson Ducuara, a producer from the Anzoátegui area in the Tolima region of Colombia. At the El Jardín farm, located at an altitude of 1,850 meters above sea level, he has been building a new chapter in local coffee culture for more than eight years. He was one of the first to start growing exotic varieties here, inspiring other farmers in the area. His farm is located in the Betulia vereda, and in addition to coffee trees, you will find natural springs and a forest reserve with cedars, which create a unique microclimate. Respect for nature and an emphasis on quality can be felt at every step and in every cup.
The Geisha variety is known for its elegance and distinctive aroma, which stands out here thanks to the washed processing. Harvesting begins with a careful selection of ripe cherries, which undergo 24 hours of pre-fermentation whole. This is followed by hulling and 72 hours of aerobic fermentation at a controlled temperature, which helps to develop a complex flavor profile. The coffee is then dried for 72 hours on covered beds.
