The Wilfa Svart WSCG-2 electric grinder is the brainchild of the Norwegian company Wilfa, which in addition to great grinders, also creates designer drip coffee machines. Wilfa Svart is a grinder created for professionals as well as coffee-enthusiasts households who want to take their coffee brewing to the next level. In addition to the elegant design, the Wilfa Svart grinder offers great functionality.

Grinding burrs

High-quality steel grinding stones do not chop coffee beans but crush them together, thus guaranteeing consistent roughness. Grinding can be adjusted to your own needs thanks to its 70-step grind settings.

Grinding settings

The main advantage of the Wilfa Svart grinder is the sensitive and easy adjustment of the coarseness. For beginners, the grinding coarseness is even marked according to the method of preparation, which makes choosing the right setting as easy as possible. The coffee dosing is then automated by a built-in timer.

It's my third year, she grinds around 50 grams of coffee almost every day. It's still holding on.
Plastic container for ground coffee.
The container for ground coffee has a not very practical shape.
Static electricity problem, coffee gets sticky after grinding. Easily solved by adding a few drops of water to the grains before grinding.

Hello, I would like to ask if there is any major difference between this grinder and the Wilfa Svart CGWS-130B black model. From what I've read, the difference should be minimal, only in speed and noise. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Jan Parasek:

Good day, Jane.

One of the other major differences is that, compared to the black variant, this grinder does not have a fuse against coffee jamming and therefore overheating of the motor. It also has a coffee container made without a UV filter that protects the ground coffee :)

Can this grinder grind coffee finely for brewing?
Translated from Kofio.cz Show Original
Hello Lenka :) Unfortunately, I do not recommend this grinder for grinding either espresso or dzhezva. It can only handle French Press, Aeropress, filter coffee and Moka pot.

I'm new to this grinder, the coarseness setting on the aeropress and the Frenchpress is fine. But on the V60-2, the filter setting is too coarse and the water flows out in barely 2 minutes. The extraction is then insufficient. Can you advise or give me a tip? Thanks in advance.

Jan Smejkal: Good day, Honzo, coincidentally, we also use this grinder in our Kofio kitchen (again, it's not such a big coincidence because this grinder is truly divine) and here are our favorite settings: Aeropress - we try to grind fairly finely somewhere close to the letter R in the word AeropressV60 - it depends on the amount - when preparing 250 ml it goes to P in the word Aeropress, 500 ml is again the letter E in the word Aeropress and if it's even more voluminous, then we go to the dot between the words Filter and AeropressFrenchpress - the letter O in the word Aeropress is the right one

Can this grinder grind filter coffee?
Translated from Kofio.cz Show Original
Good day, yes the grinder is suitable for grinding coffee for filtered preparation methods. You can also see its functionality and quality in many cafes around the country. Best regards Eliška :)

There is a filter option on the roughness setting, but in my opinion it is too coarse for the V60 and I will have to try trial and error somewhere between the Aero and the filter, just like on the hand grinder.

Jan Smejkal: with the V60, the amount depends - when preparing 250 ml, try the letter P in the word Aeropress, 500 ml is the letter E in the word Aeropress, and if it's a bit more voluminous, then we go to the dot between the words Filter and Aeropress

Eliška Veselá: The word Aeropress has the letter e twice.

David MAREK: Dear David :). Sorry for the lack of explanation. For the 500 ml on the V60, it means the first letter "E" in the word Aeropress. Nice day!
