I would only recommend this to beginners as a very decent first grinder

Looking back, I regret my purchase; I should have spent a little extra on a higher-quality grinder back then so I wouldn't have to buy a better one now

Why? In my experience, this grinder struggles significantly with pour-over brewing—it can’t maintain consistency in particle size across a single grind, which, especially with pour-over, can lead to partial clogging of the filter, a longer brew time, and consequently a different flavor compared to a cup made with a more uniform grind under the same conditions—which may not necessarily be a negative for everyone, as it always depends on personal taste. However, at least with my particular unit, this unevenness is quite noticeable and, unfortunately, also detectable in my cup.

It’s very difficult to gauge the different grinder settings, because there are times when the particle size distribution is more uniform and times when it isn’t, so even fine-tuning the recipe is very difficult and takes me several cups.
