A chashaku is a traditional Japanese bamboo spoon or scoop used to measure matcha.
The spoon is designed to ensure the correct amount of matcha for preparing the perfect cup of tea; 1 spoonful is approximately 1 gram of matcha.
It is handcrafted from bamboo and enhances the authentic tea ceremony experience.
Maintenance is very simple. After each use, just gently wipe it with a dry cloth or a soft paper towel. If necessary, you can occasionally rinse it lightly with warm water, but avoid using soap or detergents, which could damage the bamboo. If you store it in a clean place and use it only for matcha, there’s usually no need to expose it to water, which will help it last much longer.
